Forgiveness starts from the ability to see past the sin,
Too many of us are dealing with old pain deep within,
The things we have endured and the mistakes we have made,
Is why God chose to give His son as a promise He made,
This year alone has stirred up so many old feelings we thought we had gotten past,
But we soon found out that we were just wearing a mask,
Pretending that our lives were truly on the happy side,
Yet many of us struggled with depression that could not be denied,
But God still shows up and eases that pain somehow,
His love is constant and His grace toward us is the vow,
To never leave us or forsake us is happening right now,
Yet the forgiveness is still a struggle for ourselves,
Since we often hide the confusion within ourselves,
The ever looming cloud of broken hearts and conversations not had,
Can only be addressed once we trust God with all our bad,
The promise for better days is always a prayer away,
Just make forgiveness the energy that you use to fuel your brighter day.
