“HELLO CHANGE”/Poem by T.H.M/Weekly Sunday Inspiration

The changes of life often come quickly,
Our bodies and our minds are not always what they used to be,
The struggle within us to keep things the same,
Is why we have to realize this is the reason Jesus came,
He came to change hearts that were stuck in sinful ways,
Once He was born the hope and the light began a new day,
As humans we struggle with acceptance and love,
We often forget that God is our everything up above,
The seasons that God has all of us go through,
Is the cycle of life that allows for growth of me and you,
We approach change oftentimes kicking and screaming,
Losing our identity in our old ways instead of healing,
The healing only comes with the changes of time,
The bitterness and resentment of our past will get harder to find,
We look at ourselves and believe we are alright,
But God’s seasonal growth makes our insecurities come to light,
Each of the seasons have their own cycle of change,
We must depend on God to help us all maintain,
The reason why we have these seasons is so we can gain wisdom for the kingdom,
The strength it takes to move forward in growth is our true freedom,
We cannot change others or be too invested in everyone else,
Every season will come to each of us and we must do the work for ourselves.
