“True Value”/Poem by T.H.M/Weekly Sunday Inspiration

The time we spend together is too valuable to waste,
Our family and our friends is always  beautiful place,
The simple greeting of loved ones near and far,
Makes the worldly grind for empty fulfillment feel sub-par,
In approaching another holiday season thats filled with activities and fun,
We must take the time to thank God for how far we have come,
The thoughts and the wishes we had for ourselves this year,
Have not been forgotten, for God holds all of them near,
There are many we have lost along the way,
But the memories of them always brightens our day,
We find meaning in the work we do,
But it will never solve the issues that are deep inside of me and you,
This time of year we think on what was and give thanks,
We remember we ran after things we did not need and store our hurt like banks,
Then we withdraw the pain at high interest rates,
And often after the damage has been done,
God’s goodness and mercy towards us,
Makes the healing of our spirits shine bright as the sun,
In the closing out of another 365 days,
Just know you are loved always,
Even though these treacherous times have left us all in a daze,
I wish everyone a prosperous holiday season filled with goodness and light,
And remember the promises of God will come to pass when we believe with all our might.

Remember God loves you always.

Sincerely,
Terryn Horton-Morton
