“The Be/Coming”-Poem by T.H.M/Weekly Sunday Inspiration

Change of mind can happen at any point,
The seasons we go through are preparing our lives to anoint,
Us all to the coming of what has yet to happen,
To unlock the destiny that this world’s trappings is often wrapped in,
The becoming of our true selves is a hard pill to swallow,
Especially in knowing that everything we do has consequences that will follow,
God has created each of us with an assignment to walk in righteousness,
But we at times get distracted by our environment of selfishness,
Which often leads us down the path of bitterness,
The friendships that we take on either hold light or darkness,
We are the only one’s who God allows for accountability of foolishness,
Our family can be a ship sailing toward shared dreams,
Or a catalyst for complacency that often dulls our light instead of gleams,
The love for one another must be full of truth and purpose,
We cannot allow the enemy’s attacks on us to make us feel worthless,
The believers we are will not allow these attacks to go but so far,
We must hold tight to the faith we have in our creator even when life is bizarre,
We were young once but now we are older,
The world we live in has gotten alot colder,
This is the reason we must dig into parts of us we did not know existed,
To get through the pain of what we once knew so that we can tap into what’s gifted,
God made no mistakes in who we are and what we were meant to be,
But the change of mind must happen to become the chosen ones that are truly free.

Remember God loves you no matter what. You got this because God got us.

Sincerely,
Terryn Horton-Morton
