“Background Music”~Poem by T.H.M~Weekly Sunday Inspiration

The realization that we are born into an already written story,
With a question of why some of us think our lives are so boring,
Boring enough that we always repeat the same mistakes our ancestors made before,
The warning signs that our parents gave us we all seem to ignore,
There is a song of adversity and trials the generations before us endured long ago,
It’s a steady drum of our deliverance that we have yet to have won,
Against the lies and the false promises the devil always tends to throw,
And many of us are too stubborn to even realize there is more to know,
About why we exist in the time we are existing,
The bonds of slavery to the lie we must be aware of in resisting,
There is a flow of confusion that stems from generational curses,
Yet we still don’t understand why we still don’t see what the worst is,
God sent someone before us to live in this skin we are in,
He made the path to our destiny for us before time even began,
What music do you have that plays in the background of your life,
Does it have heavy bass or is it soft and light,
We are seeing in these times so many of us are dual minded,
Many of us are struggling with having the faith and where to find it,
The struggles of before will aways keep repeating,
If we do not know ultimately its God who we are needing,
This path of righteousness does not come with a handbook,
The wisest of us know the exact place to look,
To figure out the truth of what is inside of you and me,
That Christ came to save us and in Him we are truly free.

Remember God loves you always. We got this because God got us.

Sincerely,
Terryn Horton-Morton

  1. I have gotten lost in the background a time or two or three. Yet, I’m holding on to my faith & God’s unchanging hand. I Love It!!! Thank you.
