“Next Chapter” ~Inspirational Blog Post by T.H.M~Birthday Edition

Welcome to Chapter 42!

I have to say this birthday is very significant because it’s on the cusp of so many changes.

The world we used to live in has somewhat become smaller and it has also gotten a bit more difficult to understand.

Even my mindset on many things I depended on has started to become bubbles in the air with question marks in them.

But despite the uncertainty of everyday life in 2022, I am thankful to God to celebrate yet another year of life.

So let’s bring on the birthday celebrations!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

There is a newness of self that comes with each age. We tend to step into our birthday like New Year’s with the exception of it being a more personal change within us than on a calendar.

I often find myself as I grow being more thoughtful of what I have accomplished, yes, but also being aware of what I have learned. And this year I have definitely become aware of many new things.

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5

The relationships that I have gained in this last year have been truly divine. The understanding of what others are going through has allowed for me to become more sensitive to the humanness of our existence.

The last two and a half years have allowed me to understand the value of time and energy. The belief that there is an everflowing faucet of these gifts, have become less realistic and seeing folks waste these gifts have often made me ponder how well I manage them for myself.

I do not go into this new age lightly because each day I understand I have a mission and a purpose greater than just an age change.
Do you know the vision that God has for you is greater each and every day you open your eyes?

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:12

The perfect birthday gift is the opportunity to make a difference. To change one confused heart to being sure and solid in the promises of God.

This life is definitely what we make it and it is up to each of us to fulfill the destiny that God has already put in place. To celebrate the opportunity of a new age and pair it with the transformation of mind/heart is a priceless endeavor.

So this is my farewell to 41 and my open embrace of 42. A divine love letter for yet another year that only God could have brought me through.
