“The Invitation” ~Poem by T.H.M~Weekly Sunday Inspiration

You are cordially invited to what it looks like to love yourself,
No longer sitting idle with your gifts on the shelf,
The old tune of mediocrity that was once your dream,
Can no longer be fulfilled while living on God’s team,
We can no deny that our value used to come from worldly things,
We used to accept the scraps of what the here and now was offering,
The fact that our joy never would last,
Because we were still stuck with holding on to the past,
While still yearning for that moment to not pass,
Seems like we were living in a dangerous place in which we had unfulfilled tasks,
Yet God still called our name,
So that the path to our destiny will no longer look the same,
Because the loving of ourselves comes with the freedom to be loved first,
Which is the drink of truth that we all most thirst,
And that will only be quenched once we cast aside the filthy rags of the life we thought we knew,
To gain the knowledge of faith that unfortunately only exists for a few,
That God’s love rests on us like the morning dew,
So your invitation to live in light will never be lost in the mail,
For God needs each one of us to not just live but experience our spiritual moment of exhale.

God loves you always. You got this because God got us.
