It’s the holiday season and we are faced with a decision,
Do we build up one another or do we add further derision,
Many are facing a challenge in life,
Many do not understand why their is so much pain and strife,
Many are wanting the enemy’s choakhold to end,
Many are thinking when will my life truly begin,
I am here to tell you that these feelings are valid,
The holidays tend to bring emotions of sadness,
But when you take the time to read God’s word,
You start to realize the things you had never heard,
It opens your mind to the promises that were made long ago,
That wipes away our tears and our sins are forgiven clean as snow,
God is here for us in each season and this one is no different,
His love for us is so awesome that it leaves a deep imprint,
The darkness can never survive when there is light,
You have to learn to trust in God with all your might,
This will happen when you take a few mindful steps,
That will lead you toward the victory to conquer each of the enemy’s threats,
The sparkle of lights and the holiday music you hear,
I pray this season will somehow fill you up with gladness and cheer,
Just like the “Little Drummer Boy”, do you hear what I hear,
Hark the Herald the angel sing, Glory to the newborn king,
Though we may have so many battles we have still yet to face,
Just know that every holiday season/as well as everyday, God will always have the final say.
Remember God loves you always. You got this because God got us.
