How to “Endure” ~Poem by T.H.M~Weekly Sunday Inspiration

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

They say the grass is always greener on the other side,
The faith we have in Jesus can not be put aside,
The strength it took to get where we are,
It’s a miracle that we have all come this far,
The news and current events will leave you scarred,
There is a word that I believe sums up the truth,
That God is the divine counselor for me and you,
We must lean on God’s everlasting arms,
Because this sinful world will cause us harm,
The politics and divisiveness everywhere we go,
Takes a strength and endurance to just let the conflicts go,
This first month of this new year,
Already reminds us that the work we are doing must be done without fear,
Because the hope in what the new day brings,
And the joy that God renews in us is everlasting,
But satan is ready to take whatever we are foolish enough to be offering,
Just like a inappropriate conversation with a serpent and Eve,
Now the word must be “endurance” to face what is to come,
You must find meaning in the chaos even where there is none,
We must go boldly toward what God has for us,
Many of the visions God gives us are not meant to discuss,
Everyone will not go with you to the promised land,
But just know that God will never let you fall out of His unchanging hand.
Happy New Year and Remember God loves you always. You got this because God got us.

Sincerely,
Terryn Horton-Morton
