How the Modern Woman Discovers Godly Vision! ~ Sunday Inspirational Blog Post ~ Women’s History Month Special Edition

It’s Women’s History Month and what an exciting time to be in. It’s a beautiful thing to see so many of us striving for greatness and becoming so purposed in who God called us to be. We are no longer silenced by the nay sayers who tell us we do too much.

If you are like me, you have heard that a lot in your life.

Every time I see a woman becoming who God called her to be, it makes me hopeful that the next generation of women will continue to have their own place in the world.

Prior to COVID, there was a restlessness inside of me to do more. And what I mean by that is, I felt like I had a door open that I kept refusing to walk through.
I had certain gifts, but I did not realize how far they could take me if I just had enough faith in myself.

The aha moments started to happen often, in a word from family, friends, or strangers that there was something that had been stagnant too long. I started to understand that God found creative ways to send me the same message.

There was a promise that had to be given birth.

“For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

God already gave me a vision of what my obedience to His will could open up for me, but it was still up to me to say yes.

As most women like myself have realized that it’s not that simple to just walk into your destiny.

This is also a very common place for women throughout history. It is not clear to any one of us how to stay balanced while pursuing your own dreams, because for the most part this journey for us, as women, is not as publicized as it is for men.

There is something about not living out your true purpose that leaves you unsatisfied despite having everything.

There is always a question: Is there more?

To explain this to people can be a lonely and difficult task since most would not understand why you can’t just be happy with what you already have.

During this Women’s History Month, I would like to challenge, us, to become more aware of the journey of women. I mean every woman, whether she is a well known historical figure, or your grandmother. We as women must understand one another’s wins and losses because these things guide us to our purpose.

We need one another to survive. We need one another to build impossible dreams and accomplish great things.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

As females, we are destined to naturally birth something new. We carry destiny within our bodies for months, not knowing what that future will look like. But God knows and continues to give us all the provision to reach the highest of ourselves.

I want to remind you today that you are strong, you are powerful, you are destined, and you are favored. No matter the journey God will ensure you reach that mountain top and you will look over your valley.

You will have everything you have envisioned and that alone is your ammunition.

Happy Women’s History Month. God loves you always. You got this because God got us!

Sincerely,
Terryn Horton-Morton
