This year, during Black History Month we see our focus more on the pioneers of the Civil Rights Movement, the artists who started the Harlem Renaissance, the activists who stood up against inequality, the unsung heroes who paved the way for our generation and beyond to build a better future as African Americans. We truly cannot influence the future until we can recognize our past.
