“Heart-Quarters”/Poem by T.H.M/Weekly Sunday Inspiration

Our heart is the headquarters for who we are for God,
We were made in His image and that knowledge may be hard,
We deal with heart break so often these days,
The headquarters of our being feeling confused and dazed,
With how our relationships and our energy is being impacted,
So many hurtful words and unforgivable actions,
The past, the present and our future our hearts have been invested,
Each time in our lives we found these same hearts tested,
For the kingdom business is not easily digested,
For God’s requirements of us we must learn to be more than what we see,
This world wants to put a lid on that light God gave you and me,
This light that shines ever so bright in the center of our being,
Just knowing that we are chosen with purpose should feel oh so freeing,
So the pain and the sacrifices we have given from our hearts,
Has been tallied and transcribed in Heaven from our very start,
True love and true joy have been given to us completely,
The sins we struggle with continue to be forgiven so neatly,
These dry bones are renewed because of a promise made long ago,
And these hearts beat faster and stronger because we all should know,
That God is the center of us and the headquarters of our existence,
The enemy is throwing shade at us to ensure the resistance,
But our heart will continue to be anchored in our truth,
That God will never turn His back on me or on you,
This is Heart-Quarters of a love that will always feel brand new!

Remember that God loves you always. You got this because God got us.
