“Enlighten Me”~Poem by T.H.M~Weekly Sunday Inspiration

Our hearts are burdened with all the terror that surrounds us,
Times like these we tend to remember we were birthed from dust,
The bible often tells us of what conflict and strife looked like before,
It seems we are all destined to repeat mistakes more and more,
The journey to enlightenment takes work and courage,
There will be seasons where we change and some where we flourish,
The enemy does all he can to block our light,
The whisperings of dread and anxiety will try to take flight,
But God tells us no weapon formed against us shall prosper,
And sometimes a silent plea is all we have to offer,
On this day that God has blessed is to see,
We find comfort and strength in the word that sets us free,
The newness of a day we have never seen,
Will eventually be so far away as if it were a dream,
So we offer encouragement to the ones who are oppressed,
We offer comfort in a world that has all of us feeling stressed,
There is a beauty that still can be viewed with our spiritual eye,
We still have a purpose that cannot be denied,
God calls us to carry through even when this world gets dark,
We all are called to be like Noah’s ark,
To bring as many souls to Christ Jesus as we possibly can,
To acknowledge the enlightenment of a new dawn we all must understand,
You were meant for greatness and your life matters to the kingdom,
Never doubt that your journey is a road map to everyone who needs it,
Remember weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning,
God’s love for us will not fail and His blessings still happen without warning.

God loves you more than you know. We got this because God got us!
